Callies Picks Issue No. 8: Red Carpet Ready Review

A new weekly post! Callie's Picks review! I will review the collection! I will show what pieces are horrible! I will show which ones are a steal! I will tell you what pieces are a rip off! I will tell you what others think of the collection! This post will come out every Thursday, a day after the release so I can gather information about the pieces and get some feedback from people. So here is the first post, let me know what you think!

RIP OFFS:

Forest Fairy Dress - this dress costs 24 Stardollars. It would be a total waste to purchase this dress, because this dress was originally a freebie. So, what was a free item is now 24 Stardollars. This is a rip off, I would not purchase if I were you.

Peep Toe Pumps - these shoes originally appeared in RIO for 40 Starcoins. They have raised the price so incredibly! 10 Stardollars!? This would also be a purchase to skip out on.

Bee Stilettos - These shoes were in the Starplaza just a few weeks ago for 95 Starcoins in the Voile Holiday Boutique. Stardoll has re-released them for 13 Stardollars. A large rip off!

Pearl Detailed Earrings - originally in stores for 50 Starcoins! You can still buy in the Starbazaar for Starcoins. Another big waste of your Stardollars!

Lace Up Ankle Boots - Originally a freebie item, starcoin value. Now a 12 Stardollar item. 

STEALS:

Pearlized Clutch - this item is rumored to be from a YSL Store, and costed 34 Stardollars at the time of release. If this rumor is true, then this item is for less then half of its original value! This would be a great spot to spend your Stardollars!

Draped Silk Gown - Originally from Alice + Olivia. I think original value was either 30 or 32 Stardollars. This gown is now valued so high up! I would purchase this item if I had enough money, for sure.

The Faith Hill Gown and Zhang dress are very Rare, so if you are a new collector, you should purchase these. 

Popular Items among users are the Sparkling Floor Length Gown and the Layered Train Velvet Gown.

Pretty much every user had the same thing to say. 

"Callie's Picks has gone incredibly downhill.. normally when re-releasing items, you value the price at half, not double it. They really should stop releasing Mortal Kiss, its making collectors angry... the Angelina Dress is a huge rip off, it was at the Starplaza yesterday and now costs 20 more Stardollars. I think Callie must be drunk."

Callies Picks Spoiler from Instagram

Tomorrow is Wednesday, which means a new collection of Callies Picks. Stardoll posted this on their Instagram, saying that this was a preview of the new release tomorrow. My guess is that its going to be a Red Carpet theme, or maybe a Ball Gown theme.

If you are from the USA, log into your account, and these items will be in your suite! If you are not from the USA, follow these steps to get these items.

New Spectacular Collection

Today we got a new floor in Spectacular!

There are some pink sunglasses, and some heart shaped ones. Even though Stardoll probably didn't plan it this way, those would be great for the upcoming holiday, Valentines Day. There are also two Starcoin shades. 

Free Le Specs Revolver Sunglasses

*This may be a glitch, so I don't know how long it will be here. Just let me know if the shades aren't there for you.

Step 1) Go to the Starplaza, logged into your Stardoll account.

Step 2) Go to the Catalog. Click on the Beauty Section, and then Glasses Section. 

Step 3) Click the purple search button. 

Step 4) Click the 'Le Specs' Store filter. 

Step 5) Click the purple ribbon again, so the search section closes. At the top, there will be a pair of pink shades, for 0 Starcoins. Drag them to your shopping cart and purchase them.

The glasses should be in a Starplaza bag in your beauty parlor. 

Mobile Offer

This offer has been out for a bit of time, but I had to wait for it to appear when I logged in again. Its a Mobile Phone offer, you get a month of Superstar membership and 200 Stardollars for $6 only if you pay by mobile phone. I guess you save a dollar, which isn't much. With the regular Superstar package, you also get a free dress and shoes, which I take it that this package doesn't include it.

Today we got a new released of Limited Edition. I like the collection very much, sadly I am low on Stardollars so I cannot purchase anything. There are 3 floors of LE.

LE Spoiler UPDATED

Here is a spoiler for new LE coming soon to Stardoll. This spoiler was found on Stardoll's Snapchat. The new LE should be coming soon... so start saving up your stardollars!

UPDATE: This item must have been a spoiler for the new Spectacular collection! These exact shades are in the Starplaza! They are the Inferno Sunglasses. I no longer believe that this was an LE Spoiler.

Blog Update

Okay so here is the 100th blog post! It may seem like nothing, but 100 posts is a lot! 100 posts covered almost a whole year! From June to January! Its a huge milestone! I know we are only at 5 followers, but its better then none! By the end of 2014, if I have 10 followers I will be happy(: If you guys ever have a new theme in mind, please comment and tell me about it! Be sure to comment as much as you can, and following always helps a lot! You can make a Google account to easily follow the blog and easily comment as well.

Now for the blog update! Every single month, we are going to be changing the blog theme! That way, the blog theme never gets boring, and is always fresh! The blog theme will revolve around what events are happening that month. For the short rest of this month, I have selected an ice rink background. The ice is a great theme for January, as January is a Winter month. January doesn't have a main holiday, except for New Years Day, which has long since passed. Next month, will clearly revolve around that months holiday... so Valentines Day. But only time will tell what March and so on will bring! Yves Saint Laurent Last Chance!

Today we got a message in our inboxes. The last chance to buy from the Yves Saint Laurent Paris Tribute is going to be January 27! I am very sad to see this tribute go, this was my favorite out of all the tributes and I think it was the nicest.
